Chained Bangs & Curls

So this was a fun way to keep her bangs back. This hairdo takes about 20 minutes.

#1 Section off a square in the top middle of head.
#2 Pull hair back in clip/claw/ponytail to keep out of the way. You will just be working on the middle section first.

#3 Use comb to section of the first square out of the middle section. Split it down the middle and tie like you would your shoe laces.#4 Have daughter hold pieces while you grab the next squared off section. Split it down the middle again and this time grab the right piece from daughter and add to your right piece and the left piece to your left piece. Tie like a shoe lace again.
#5 Move on to the last section adding the hair and tying like a shoe lace. This time add a clear elastic. You should now have a chain of 3.#6 Section off another section to the left of the middle section. Repeat steps 3-5#7 Section off another section to the right of the middle section. Repeat steps 3-5
#8 Curl hair all over#9 Tease hair#10 Spray with hairspray and add little clippies if you want and voila....one cute little piggie!

3 Barrel Curls

This is always fun to do. You need a comb, big claw clip, 3 barrel curling iron and some hairspray. It took 15 minutes.#1 Separate the hair into two sections, with the top section being from the top of one ear to the other ear. Pin the top section using the hair clamps. This will allow you to start using the waving iron on the bottom section first.#2 Spray hair lightly with hairspray. I use the suave touchable finish hairspray. It is light and smells good. You may also want to spray your hair with a thermal protective product if you have dry, damaged hair but I never do.#3 Gather a small section of hair and clamp the waver on the hair about an inch from the roots. Hold the waver for 5-10 seconds and then release the clamp. Move the waver down so that it is just below the last piece of hair waved and clamp again. Repeat this process on that section of hair until an inch of hair is left unwaved.
#4 Repeat Step 3 across the entire bottom layer of hair. Remove the hair clamp and repeat again on next layer.#5 Repeat the clamping process from Step 4 on the top layer of hair. Once the waves have cooled, loosen the curls with your fingers.
#6 Tease hair underneath. Spray with hairspray all over.#7 Add a bow or headband and voila.....one cute little piggie!

Curl formers

Okay so these are my new favorite hair tool. I absolutely LOVE them. Click here to go to their website, or just head on over to Sally's and you can pick them up there. Anyways this is how you use them.

#1 Use damp hair and a little product. Comb down and part hair to side.#2 Clip half of hair up

#3 Start by grabbing a small section

#4 Put curlforming stick through curl former and hook onto hair#5 I like to twist it
#6 Squeeze curl former as you pull the hair through. Leave about 3/4 inch hair b/c you don't want the curl former right by their head or it will hurt to sleep on. If you do not do this step it will pull on your little piggies hair and hurt (I found that out the hard way).
#7 Pull Stick with hair in it all the way through the curl former

#8 Alternate colors
#9 Bring next section of hair down. I had to use about 18 curl formers

#10 Do the same thing to each sections#11 Have your little one sleep in them overnight#12 Wake up and squeeze curl former as you pull it out. Sometimes I have to re-wrap the curl around my finger to take correct shape after I take it out.#13 Run fingers through hair and voila.....one cute little piggie!
